At Grain & Loom, we’re proud to extend our global sustainability efforts through the Tree-a-Day Project — an international reforestation initiative dedicated to restoring green cover and supporting communities in India.

In partnership with internationally recognized environmental organizations, we’ve pledged to plant 366 trees in 2024, with annual growth in our contribution. This project symbolizes our belief that meaningful global change begins with consistent, local action.

The Challenge

Across northwestern India, years of deforestation and urban expansion have left large tracts of land barren, affecting ecosystems and livelihoods. Through the Tree-a-Day Project, we aim to reverse this trend — rejuvenating these lands, promoting biodiversity, and empowering local communities through sustainable employment and green initiatives.

The Impact

Our reforestation work supports long-term environmental and social benefits:

• Combatting Desert Encroachment: Increased forest cover forms a natural barrier against the expansion of the Thar Desert.
• Enhancing Biodiversity: Trees nurture habitats for countless species, preserving ecological balance.
• Addressing Climate Change: Each tree absorbs up to 25 kg of CO₂ annually, directly contributing to global carbon reduction efforts.

Our Commitment

For 2024, we’ve set a target of planting one tree for every day of the year. This marks the beginning of an expanding annual pledge — a concrete, measurable step toward long-term environmental restoration and protection.
